Inspired AI Soft exists because we believe the software industry has drifted into a dangerous comfort zone: shipping opaque models, celebrating accuracy without accountability, and treating users as data sources rather than decision-makers. We chose a different path. These are the convictions that govern every line of code we write, every model we train, and every partnership we enter.
These are not aspirations. They are constraints we enforce on every engagement.
No model ships without a human-readable explanation layer. If we cannot articulate why the system reached a conclusion, the system does not leave our hands.
Client data never trains our other models. Period. Your information is your competitive advantage, and we treat it with the gravity it demands.
We measure success by business outcomes — revenue gained, errors prevented, decisions accelerated — not by model accuracy percentages in isolation.
When our AI encounters uncertainty, it says so. Systems degrade to human review rather than producing confident-sounding nonsense.
We engineer for the smallest viable model. Smaller models mean lower cost, faster inference, easier auditing, and less environmental waste.
Monthly performance reports include failure analysis. We share what went wrong alongside what went right, because trust requires transparency in both directions.
| Domain | What We Build | Principle Applied | Typical Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Document Intelligence | Extraction pipelines, classification engines, summarisation layers | Explainability First | Manual review time reduced by two-thirds within 90 days |
| Predictive Operations | Demand forecasting, anomaly detection, maintenance scheduling | Graceful Degradation | Unplanned downtime cut in half for a Belfast logistics firm |
| Conversational Systems | Internal knowledge assistants, customer-facing chat agents | Data Sovereignty | Support ticket volume dropped 40% for a financial services client |
| Decision Support | Scoring models, risk assessment dashboards, recommendation engines | Outcome Ownership | Underwriting cycle shortened from five days to under one |
| Computer Vision | Quality inspection, asset monitoring, spatial analysis | Minimal Footprint | Edge-deployed model running on £200 hardware for a manufacturing line |
We decline projects where the brief is "add AI to our product." We start with a problem — excessive manual review, unreliable forecasts, slow customer response — and work backward to the right technical approach. Sometimes that approach is not AI at all.
Models learn from data. If the relevant data does not exist, is locked in legacy systems, or cannot be shared under NDA, we will tell you honestly whether the project is feasible before any contract is signed.
We build production systems, not proof-of-concept theatre. Our engagements include monitoring, retraining schedules, and degradation alerts. If you need a one-off demo for a board presentation, we are probably not the right partner.
AI that works in isolation from the people who use it almost always fails. We require access to domain experts during development and structured feedback loops after deployment.
The market is saturated with firms promising "AI transformation" in six weeks. Most of them resell API wrappers around foundation models, add a branded dashboard, and call it bespoke. That is not engineering. That is decoration.
We write custom model architectures when the problem demands it. We fine-tune open-weight models when that is the pragmatic choice. We connect to third-party APIs when they genuinely serve the client's interest. The decision is always driven by the principle of minimal footprint and outcome ownership — not by what is easiest to bill.
If you have been burned by a previous AI vendor, we understand the scepticism. We are happy to start with a paid diagnostic — a focused two-week assessment that produces a candid feasibility report, not a sales pitch. Request a diagnostic →
